Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect information such as your name, email address, login details, and account identifiers. Authentication is handled through Clerk.

Billing Data

Stripe processes your payments. We receive information such as subscription status, billing history, and payment-related identifiers. We do not store full payment card numbers.

Usage Data

We track logins, drafts, scheduled posts, publishing attempts, and feature usage to operate and improve the Service. This may include timestamps, device and browser details, IP address, account activity, and connected-platform information.

Content You Draft and Schedule

When you create drafts or schedule posts, we process the text, images, captions, thread content, and scheduling details you provide. Copies of that content may be stored on Maito's systems so we can show, publish, and recover it for you.

Connected Social Accounts

If you connect X, LinkedIn, or another supported platform, we may store access tokens and other authorization data in encrypted form, along with profile metadata such as account IDs, handles, avatars, and publishing history.

AI Feature Data

If you use AI-assisted writing features, we process the prompts, drafts, instructions, and related context you provide so we can generate suggestions, edits, summaries, or draft content.

Technical Data

We automatically collect IP addresses, browser information, and device data for security and debugging purposes.

How We Use Your Data

• Help you write, edit, schedule, and publish posts
• Connect and manage your linked social accounts
• Provide AI-generated suggestions and draft assistance
• Calculate and process billing
• Provide customer support
• Secure accounts and prevent abuse
• Improve and debug the Service
• Send service-related communications

AI Providers and Connected Platforms

If you use AI features, we may share prompts, drafts, instructions, and related context with third-party AI providers, including OpenAI. We may change or add providers over time.

To publish or manage posts, we share the content and metadata you choose with the platforms you connect, including X and LinkedIn. Those platforms have their own privacy practices and terms.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your content to train our own models.

Data Sharing

We share data with:

• Service providers: Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), Railway (hosting and infrastructure), and Loops (email delivery)
• AI providers: OpenAI and any replacement or additional providers we use for AI-assisted features
• Connected platforms: X, LinkedIn, and other services you instruct us to post to
• Legal requirements: When required by law or to protect rights and safety

We do not sell your data.

Data Storage

We process and store data in the United States. Account data is retained for as long as needed to provide the Service, unless you delete it, close your account, or ask us to remove it. We may keep certain information longer for legal, security, fraud-prevention, billing, or backup purposes.

Security

We use encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and secure credential storage for account and platform connection data. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

Tracking Signals

Because there is no universally accepted standard for responding to browser "Do Not Track" signals, we do not currently respond to them in a standardized way.

The Service is not intended for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
